Huston-Tillotson University is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty appointment in Voice and Director of Choral Activities at the rank of assistant or associate professor, beginning August 2026. This role is housed within the Department of Humanities and Fine Arts in the College of Arts and Sciences. The successful candidate will lead an established choral program, including the University Concert Choir, Opera Workshop, and other vocal ensembles. Responsibilities also include teaching voice lessons, maintaining an active voice studio for majors and non-majors, and teaching other relevant courses. A key component of this position is recruiting students for the music program, particularly for choral activities and voice majors. The University Concert Choir is a significant representative ensemble that has toured extensively. Continued local and national performing activities are expected. The position offers a salary range of $50,000 - $60,000 annually, plus benefits.
