Texas A&M–Victoria seeks one full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, with a start date of August 2027. The Department of Social Science at Texas A&M–Victoria invites applications for a tenure-track position in Criminal Justice. A doctoral degree in Criminal Justice, or a closely related field, by the start date is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate education and will contribute to a vibrant department that supports multiple majors, including History, Political Science, Psychology, and Criminal Justice. Applicants whose research is in any area of Criminal Justice are encouraged to apply. Evidence of an active research agenda and the ability to publish in the field of expertise is expected. Teaching responsibilities include in-person and online introductory and elective undergraduate courses in Criminal Justice. The role also may require supervising students in their practical experiences, advising, and mentoring students to help them achieve their potential, and serving on university committees as needed.
