About The Position

The Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in our APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Graduate Program. The program has been accredited since 1972 and is currently accredited through 2028. The position will begin in the fall semester of 2027. Area of research specialization is open. We are especially interested in candidates studying childhood/developmental psychopathology, pediatric/health psychology, translational neuroscience, and/or biological processes. However, all candidates with a strong program of research in any area will be fully considered. The successful candidate will have a clinical science orientation and a commitment to training students in evidence-based treatment and assessment.

Requirements

  • PhD in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Science by start date
  • Completion of an APA/CPA-accredited internship by start date
  • Ability to supervise clinical doctoral students
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Nevada
  • Record of excellence in research
  • Potential for excellence in teaching and service
