About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) John Sealy School of Medicine in Galveston is seeking a full-time Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinician Educator at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. This is a unique opportunity to join a nationally recognized academic health system and a collaborative team of clinicians dedicated to advancing care for children. This position offers the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary environment, contribute to the education of pediatric residents and medical students, and engage in meaningful clinical care across UTMB’s Galveston Island and Clear Lake campuses. Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency Program and Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship.
Board Certification or Eligibility in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
Ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas medical license.
U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
Demonstrated commitment to patient care and medical education.

Responsibilities

Provide coverage in the Pediatric Gastroenterology clinics at Clear Lake Campus.
Perform endoscopy procedures.
Provide inpatient consultations at UTMB Galveston and Clear Lake Campus.
Supervise and teach medical students and residents rotating through the Pediatric Gastroenterology service.
Provide comprehensive pediatric gastroenterology care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the division’s clinical and educational missions.
Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
