About The Position

The School of Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology department is seeking a full-time Clinical Faculty member. The successful candidate will participate in the day-to-day activities of the division of OB/GYN, provide direct clinical supervision and didactic instruction to residents, and deliver student lectures, seminars, and clinical teaching. The role also involves participation in the department's clinical research program, direct patient care, and regular participation in the OB/GYN generalist and in-house call schedules. Additionally, the position requires consultation on new market opportunities, participation in productivity and cost analysis projects, collaboration with the Curriculum committee, visiting rural training sites, and exploring innovative teaching techniques.

Responsibilities

Participate in the day to day activities of the division of OB/ GYN
Provide direct clinical supervision of residents
Provide didactic instruction to residents
Provide student lectures, seminar, moderation and clinical teaching in conjunction with student curriculum devised by the Clerkship Director
Participate on the clinical research program develop on the department and facilitate recruitment of patients on an as needed basis
Provide direct patient care
Participate in the OB/ GYN generalist call schedule on a regular basis
Participate in the weekly in house call schedule
Participate in other clinical activities of the department
Consult with Chair on any potential new OB/ GYN market opportunities
Participate in productivity and cost analysis projects
Work closely with the Curriculum committee of MUSOM to ensure compatibility of departmental goals and objectives with institutional goals and objectives
Visit rural sites for appropriateness of training
Explore new and innovative teaching techniques
