We are seeking an outstanding clinical full-time faculty member who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, contributing to innovative research, educating future healthcare professionals, and supporting institutional service initiatives. In this role, you will work within a nationally recognized department that provides specialized emergency care for patients with complex oncologic conditions. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of physicians, researchers, advanced practice providers, nurses, and allied health professionals to develop and implement evidence-based approaches that improve outcomes for cancer patients experiencing acute medical emergencies.

Requirements

  • M.D. and completion of accredited residency
  • Board certified/eligible in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Eligible for Texas medical licensure
  • Minimum 2 years Instructor experience or 5 years post‑degree clinical/scientific training

Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality clinical care for patients with cancer-related emergencies in a fast-paced academic healthcare environment.
  • Participating in clinical, translational, and outcomes-based research initiatives that advance the field of Oncologic Emergency Medicine.
  • Teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare trainees.
  • Contributing to quality improvement programs, departmental committees, and institutional service activities.
  • Supporting the development of innovative care models and best practices that enhance patient safety, efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
