About The Position
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking to hire a new tenure-track faculty member. The Department presently consists of 26 full-time faculty and is growing. It offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in nearly every sub-discipline of the field. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Chemistry and/or Polymer Science at the undergraduate and graduate levels and develop an active, high quality, externally funded and internationally recognized research program. Requirements
- A Ph.D. in chemistry, polymer science, or a closely related discipline
- Applicants at the Assistant Professor level are invited to apply.
Nice To Haves
- Postdoctoral experience is preferred
- Specific interest in materials chemistry, broadly defined and including polymers
- Specific interest in artificial intelligence, including applications to experimental design, data-driven discovery, and autonomous experimentation in chemistry
- Specific interest in biophysics and biomaterials
- Specific interest in radiochemistry
Responsibilities
