About The Position

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center invites applications for a 12-month non-tenure-track Assistant Professor position for the Doctor of Audiology program. Candidates must have expertise and qualifications in assessing and treating disorders of hearing and balance. This position will require the individual to provide and supervise clinical services for patients in the TTUHSC Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic and possibly other settings (e.g., schools) in Lubbock, Texas. Rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Requirements

  • Au.D. degree or higher in Audiology.
  • Evidence of at least three (3) years of clinical practice.
  • ASHA certification (CCC-A).
  • State of Texas licensure or eligibility to obtain Texas licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor graduate student clinicians in various settings.
  • Provide clinical services to patients in various settings.
  • Provide service to the department, university, and profession.
  • Participate in clinical simulations.
  • Provide clinically relevant didactic instruction.
  • Participate in professional development.
