The University of Kansas, an R-1 institution and a member of the Association of American Universities (AAU), is seeking outstanding individuals for two full-time tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in Aerospace Engineering. The department is experiencing growth, with a focus on research, discovery, and the graduate program. Applications are welcome in areas such as AI/ML in aerospace applications, unmanned aircraft, advanced air mobility systems, aerospace autonomy, flight test, remote sensing, emerging aerospace propulsion, VLEO/reentry applications, and space systems engineering. The faculty are engaged in interdisciplinary research, supported by federal and industry funding. The successful candidates will be results-oriented, with a record of superior scholarship, a promising vision for externally funded research, and the ability to teach high-quality courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as mentor graduate students. Special consideration will be given to applicants committed to excellence and who can contribute to the University's innovative, collaborative, and multidisciplinary initiatives.
