About The Position

Responsible for organizing and delivering the technical skills needed to successfully assist with assigned production projects and events. Primary focus is to guarantee seamless, high-quality experience for all park guests, internal/external clients and park operation partners.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (AA) is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years preferred with production company/facility and/or freelance PA work; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Experience with basic computer skills (email, word processing).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Physical stamina to handle on-set demands (lifting, standing, etc.).
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Basic organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the production managers and/or production supervisors with the coordination of UO Departments through the entire production. These depts. include Entertainment, Production Catering, Security, Event Operations, Attraction Operations, Tech Services, Engineering, and EHS.
  • Assisting with organizing equipment and gear for shoots and camera mounts (may include running cable, setting up tables/chairs/tents and placing “hot set” signage).
  • Assist Production Managers during a production with ensuring safety protocols are being met by all crew/talent while working front or back of house. Report any negligence of protocols or accidents to USFPG Management.
  • Assist with arrivals/departures of external Crew/Talent. Facilitate movement of groups throughout the resort to include vehicle and/or golf cart transportation.
  • Escort Crew/Talent from holding areas/greenrooms to set location. Escort production vehicles into park as needed with the assistance of Event Operations and Security.
  • Act as a runner distributing messages or items between crew/talent, and UO staff and/or Production Managers.
  • Work with Event Operations Staff to assist with guest crowd control by putting up stanchions, signage, or physically directing pedestrians around filming locations, lock down sets, etc. Interact with park guests to explain cause for filming lock downs and or temporary ride delays/closures.
  • Perform administrative work (submitting back-of-house drive-ons, Tech Services Discretionary Works Orders, creating directional maps, etc.)
  • Guiding crews and equipment around the resort for media events and/or special events ensuring they are only capturing video footage/pictures of front of house areas and are following all UO safety protocols.
  • Assisting with obtaining all General Releases and/or Waivers signed by guests and Team Members captured on camera.
  • Assisting in maintaining USFPG specific inventory and storage areas of all equipment (camera mounts, director chairs, carts, hot set signs/A-frames, USFPG van, etc.).
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
