About The Position

Lincoln Center Theater (LCT) is seeking a seasonal Assistant Production Manager to join its production department from August 2026 to April 2027. LCT's mission is to bring exceptional theater to life, building on a legacy of artistic excellence and striving to expand what is possible in theatre. The theater aims to make the magic of theatre more palpable, empowering visionary artists and inviting the community to celebrate live performance. Founded in 1985, LCT is a leading nonprofit theater in the country, producing an annual season of plays and musicals. It is one of eleven autonomous constituents of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and welcomes nearly 300,000 audience members annually. LCT is committed to fostering a theater representative of all populations it serves and values empathy, dignity, and care. The Assistant Production Manager will be an active member of the production team, assisting the Production Manager (PM) and Associate Production Managers (APMs) in the coordination and execution of stage productions in the Vivian Beaumont Theater, Mitzi Newhouse Theater, and Claire Tow Theater. The Production Department also collaborates with other LCT administrative departments for readings, workshops, and special events.

  • Ability for a flexible schedule during technical rehearsals and preview shows.

Nice To Haves

  • A year of experience in theater or an arts organization is preferable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist PM & APMs with day-to-day activities.
  • Liaise with other LCT administrative departments.
  • Maintain Production Management office equipment and supplies.
  • Liaise with the show companies as directed by PM & APM’s.
  • Attend production meetings and staff meetings.
  • Execute and coordinate purchases with PM, APM’s and department heads.
  • Help implement inclusive practices for LCT productions.
  • Assist with administrative tasks in other production departments as needed.
