About The Position

The Assistant Product Manager (APM) supports the development, execution, and lifecycle management of products by partnering with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain. This role plays a key part in ensuring products align with customer needs, business objectives, and market opportunities while contributing to overall growth and profitability. The APM serves as a critical support partner to the Product Manager by conducting market research, competitive analysis, customer insight gathering, and data analysis to drive informed business decisions. This individual is responsible for synthesizing large volumes of information and effectively communicating insights and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic planning and product initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, collaborative, and results-oriented, with a passion for product development and continuous improvement. They must demonstrate the ability to think strategically, anticipate business needs 6 to 12 months in advance, and proactively adjust plans and priorities to ensure successful execution of projects and product objectives. This role will help drive product enhancements, monitor performance metrics, support go-to-market activities, and contribute to initiatives that improve customer experience and business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Must be organized and able to multitask on many projects and provide follow-up and feedback on status
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Presentation skills and articulation of data required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be a demonstrated user of MS Excel and have proficiency in MS Excel; specifically managing large amounts of data through the use of pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Capability to lift 50 pounds.
  • B.S. degree in Business preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a corporate manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or more years’ experience in Product Management, Marketing, Data Analysis, or Strategic Sourcing preferred

Responsibilities
