About The Position

The Assistant Product Development Chemist supports the technical team by facilitating product development, methods development, quality control, and research. This role involves formulating aerospace products, conducting experiments for new product implementation, and identifying opportunities for product and method improvements. The position also includes providing equipment support, performing analyses, and troubleshooting production requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biology.
• 2+ years of experience working in a chemical laboratory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other data analytic tools.
• Experience developing products for the aerospace industry.
• Experience developing quality control methods and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Target product areas include coating removal, engine overhaul, exterior/interior cleaners, and chemical processing.

Responsibilities

• Support Product Development Chemist by formulating various aerospace products based on written/outlined design procedures.
• Support Product Development Chemist by conducting new product technical data collection experiments for future customer product implementation.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing products.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing methods and procedures.
• Provide equipment support and perform analyses as needed.
• Troubleshoot production requirements as needed.
• Interact with the external technical community to identify opportunities and develop relationships.
