About The Position

Alliance College-Ready Public Schools is seeking Assistant Principals who are instructional leaders and managers dedicated to inspiring scholars to achieve exceptional outcomes, preparing them for college and beyond. This role involves working in an engaging and rewarding environment that encourages self-reflection, professional development, and differentiated support. Instructional Deans, Coaches, Department Chairs, and Coordinators are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Instructional expertise, including knowledge of Common Core-aligned instruction, student-centered classrooms, personalized learning, and instructional technology.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and cultivate relationships with students and adults.

  • Strong computer skills (i.e., information systems).
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • 3+ years of experience as a teacher, counselor, or similar school-based role.
  • 1+ years of experience leading adults.

  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
  • Graduate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid California teaching credential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teachers, teacher leaders, and department chairs in improving scholar outcomes through data-driven instruction, professional development, and feedback.
  • Coach, manage, evaluate, support, and inspire teachers and staff to achieve measurable progress with scholars.
  • Set high standards for achievement to ensure scholars are on track for college readiness.
  • Ensure school-wide curriculum, assessments, and instructional strategies align with Common Core State Standards.
  • Build a positive staff culture that fosters growth, learning, collaboration, and support.
  • Oversee systems and supports for a positive school climate where students develop a love for learning and responsibility.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, students, and colleagues.
  • Lead non-instructional school functions such as testing coordination, compliance reporting, and student activities/enrollment.
