About The Position

As the Assistant Principal for Student Support at Brooke East Boston, you will work alongside the Principal of Brooke East Boston to build and sustain an exceptional K-8 school experience that provides all students with a rigorous education. You will bear responsibility for ensuring that all students are provided with the appropriate support and guidance needed to thrive, which includes managing services for students with disabilities, English Language learners, and students who are not succeeding academically.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Deep knowledge of special education requirements (special education license or degree required)
  • At least 5 years of working in the field of special education
  • Record of strong student results
  • Professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues
  • Able to start in July of 2026 (or earlier if possible)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the identification of students across the school who are not thriving academically based on established criteria and working with the leadership team and teachers to develop effective support plans
  • Directly manage student support staff including, Special Education Teachers, IEP Team Chairs, and Multilingual Learners Coordinator, Related Service Providers and Paraprofessionals
  • Ensure that Brooke is in compliance with all special education and 504 requirements (in coordination with the Network Chief of Student Support)
  • Assist in state compliance reviews
  • Run professional development on all topics related to Student Success

Benefits

  • Salary will range from $112K-$169K depending upon experience.
