Assistant Preschool Teacher

About The Position
We are looking for an assistant teacher passionate about bringing the best out in kids, connecting to our community and having fun! This is a year-round, 12-month position with full-time, hourly pay, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-4:30 pm or 8:15 am-4:45 pm.
Requirements
- Are 21+ and have 2+ years of experience working with children in a professional, volunteer, or familial capacity
- High school diploma
- Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment
- Ability to pass all relevant clearances
Nice To Haves
- Associate/Bachelor degree or college credits from an accredited college or university in childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field preferred
Responsibilities
- Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn
- Being patient and kind with our parents
- Cultivating and fostering a safe and nurturing environment that will encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children in the program
- Adjusting curriculum to ensure that all children meet the learning objectives
- Utilizing state and YMCA guidelines to ensure the safety and well being of the children
