About The Position

The Assistant Teacher Position Summary involves planning, organizing, and implementing an age-appropriate instructional program in a play-based learning environment. Work is performed under the supervision of the Director. The role promotes and adheres to Liberty Kids policies and procedures, investing in the preschooler’s well-being, health, and safety physically, socially, and emotionally for ultimate academic excellence. The Assistant Teacher will create an engaging learning environment conducive to effective instruction and maintain standards of scholar behavior. This includes planning, preparing, and delivering lessons and instructional materials that facilitate active learning, providing direct instruction using a traditional curriculum, instructing and monitoring scholars in the use of learning materials and equipment, and establishing and communicating clear objectives for all learning activities. The role also involves observing and evaluating scholars’ performance and development. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 6 months childcare experience
• Must be 18 years old
• Hold a valid IVP Finger Print Clearance Card
• Infant/Toddler CPR and First Aid Certified
• Successfully pass a Childcare Registry Background Check
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Professional and friendly disposition
• Proficient with computers and software applications including Microsoft Office tools and Google Suite.
