About The Position

Primrose School of East Cobb at Sprayberry is seeking an Assistant Teacher to create a fun and safe environment for young children. The role involves guiding infants through preschool-aged children through small group instruction, fostering their confidence, independence, and ability to learn. The school is looking for individuals experienced in early childhood education, preschool, child care, or daycare centers.

Requirements

Must meet basic requirements GA Bright From the Start
Previous experience as a teacher in licensed early childhood education, PreK, preschool, day care center, or education preferred
Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Responsibilities

Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Castle Rock, and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children in daycare or childcare center.

Hourly compensation is $14.50 to $16.00, depending on experience and education
Set Schedule Monday- Friday
8:00am-5:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pm
Closed Weekends, Nights and Holidays

40 hours =1 year, 80 hours= 2-5 years, 120 hours= 5+ years
