Unitex is experiencing unprecedented growth and is seeking a highly skilled Production/Manufacturing Manager for its facility in New Brunswick, NJ. This role is crucial for maintaining operational standards, supervising a large team, and ensuring overall plant efficiency and customer satisfaction. Requirements

  • 5 years of supervisory/managerial experience running a plant in a production/service environment.
  • 2+ years of proven customer service and handling customer demands.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic work setting.
  • High degree of customer responsiveness.
  • Understands production work flow.
  • Proven ability to manage to standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
  • Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain individual and department performance at established standards.
  • Supervise and direct a diverse task assortment across 4 Production Supervisors and an extensive team of plant employees, allocating relevant personnel for maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure all processes meet internal Unitex policies and procedures by conducting consistent compliance checks.
  • Implement successful learning and development initiatives to enhance performance across the entire team.
  • Oversee health and safety operations across the plant, including carrying out notable investigations when necessary.
  • Develop strong and productive relationships with customers across all levels of business.
  • Analyze operational processes and performance; implementing solutions for improvement as necessary.
  • Supply daily status reports, issue reports, highlight reports, and progress reports to maintain senior expectation.
  • Provide consultation to the team concerning the introduction of new concepts within company processes.
  • Deal with all arising issues in a prompt manner; ensuring all production and productivity goals are achieved.
  • Administer various HR duties, including payroll, weekly scheduling, employee relations, absence, and performance management issues.
  • Check quality and quantity of products to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
