About The Position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is looking for a talented Pastry Chef who is passionate about food quality, customer service, and community. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team offering a unique menu selection of over 40 fresh baked pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins made with honest, whole ingredients. This is a part-time position requiring early morning availability.

Requirements

• Proven track record of demonstrating abilities in the kitchen.
• Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting.
• Ability to work through change and be flexible.
• Must be an early bird, as all Pastry Chef shifts start early.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of large-scale baking/pastry experience.
• Experience in working quickly to decorate amazing pastries.
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and pay close attention to details to create one-of-a-kind pastries and baked goods.
• Lift large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 lbs or more.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work through change and be flexible while keeping a close eye on what's cooking.
• Decorate amazing pastries.
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations for food handler and sanitation standards.
