Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
  • Familiarity with MyKaarma
  • 3-5+ years’ experience, including 2+ at a leadership level
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and components
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes
  • Breadth and depth of technical or functional expertise in own area of responsibility or department; may be acquiring knowledge of other related areas of departments
  • Developing and implementing processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Develop systems to minimize "at counter" time of technicians and ensure smooth transfer of parts.
  • Monitor accounting and inventory records to ensure department profitability.
  • Forecast parts sales, gross profit, and expenses monthly and annually; review Daily Operations Control document daily; identify and maximize available parts bonuses.
  • Provide exceptional service to all customers and vendors.
  • Process customer orders efficiently and recommend additional related repair items.
  • Assist with daily inventory, receiving, stocking, and shipping.
  • Assist the Parts Manager with recruiting, training, leading, disciplining, and terminating employees when necessary.
  • Develop systems to minimize technicians’ time away from their bay.
  • Supervise department housekeeping, maintenance, and safety.
  • Maintain communications with the Office Manager/Comptroller and other managers to ensure efficient practices for billing, costing, and discount procedures.
  • Work with other managers to ensure smooth transfer of parts and handle critical shortages and back orders.
  • Use automated inventory control systems for satisfactory control of parts in the dealership.
  • Periodically study inventory levels and adjust accordingly.
  • Ensure consistent cleanliness and organization of the service counter, work area, and stockroom.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
