The University of Mississippi, Department of Leadership and Counselor Education, seeks applicants to fill a tenure-track faculty position in the Educational Leadership Program at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The Educational Leadership program provides a M.Ed. degree program, an Ed.S. degree program, an Ed.D. program, and a Ph.D. program. The Educational Leadership Program currently serves over 150 students. These degree programs focus on building and district PK-12 Leadership. Programs are offered on the Oxford campus, regional campuses and in an online format designed for Mississippi educators with limited access to face-to-face graduate programs. The Ph.D. degree is focused on research and scholarship; and, a new Ed.D. degree focused on practitioner preparation is based on the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED) framework directed toward social justice in professional practice. This is a tenure-track 9-month appointment involving teaching, research, and service to the university and profession. The applicant should be able draw on a background in educational research, and school and/or district level leadership to teach a variety courses in the preparation of K-12 school leaders.
