The Gannon University College of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling to begin August 2027 on the Ursuline College campus of Gannon University in Pepper Pike, Ohio. The successful candidate will serve as a core faculty member of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (with Art Therapy concentration) master’s degree program, which is accredited by CACREP and CAAHEP / ACATE. The individual will teach graduate courses, advise students, and participate in departmental, college, and university committees and service activities. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to assist in program development, student recruitment, outcome assessment, and accreditation activities. Candidates with expertise in both clinical mental health counseling and art therapy, enabling them to teach blended counseling and art therapy content courses in various areas of theory and treatment, assessment, and research will be given preference. Strong candidates will provide evidence of competence in interactive and collaborative teaching styles, as well as active scholarship in the counseling field and commitment to teaching in a liberal arts setting. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues, advise students and prepare them intellectually, professionally, and personally, and engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon University.
