The Assistant or Associate Professor of Business will be responsible for teaching 15 credits per semester in business and business-related courses across various modalities including on-ground, hybrid, and online. This role involves assisting in the coordination of courses, maintaining syllabus templates, updating instructor guides, selecting textbooks and learning materials, revising course policies and documents, mentoring instructors, and collaborating with academic leadership and support staff. The professor will also maintain current knowledge of the discipline and effective educational methodologies through professional development, monitor student academic performance, participate in curriculum development and assessment design to enhance student success, and engage in textbook adoption with a focus on low-cost options for students. Additionally, the role includes academic and career advisement, staff development programs, peer reviews, advising student clubs, serving on college and departmental committees, and holding eight weekly office hours. The professor will maintain currency in subject matter and instructional techniques, develop instructional support strategies, and engage in activities such as evaluating and designing culturally responsive pedagogy, advancing student success strategies, and participating in campus redesign initiatives. Ensuring timely submission of required documents and participating in shared governance through committee service and meeting attendance are also key responsibilities. Collaboration to advance program and college-wide initiatives and adherence to all college policies and procedures are expected.
