About The Position

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant or Associate Professor in Residence (CRNA Specialized Faculty) [R0151221]. ROLE of the POSITION The UNLV School of Nursing is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor in Residence (CRNA Specialized Faculty) at 50% FTE. Primary responsibilities of an appointment are to (1) teach nursing courses consistent with area of expertise; (2) collaborate with other faculty in course development; (3) use teaching resources, such as WebCampus/Canvas to foster learning; (4) provide student supervision; (5) participate in school, university, professional and community service activities. We seek innovative and diverse candidates with expertise in a variety of nursing curricula, such as, but not limited to, advanced health assessment, health care and promotion of infants through adolescents, health care and promotion of adults, older adults, and young adults, ambulatory procedures, and graduate nursing research. Teaching responsibilities include CRNA-specific courses in the didactic setting and clinical student teaching/simulation. Classes in the School of Nursing are offered year-round, using a trimester sequence. This position is a 12-month, 3-semester appointment at 50% FTE. Requirements

  • The individual must hold a doctorate in nursing or a related field from an accredited College or university.
  • The individual must also hold or be qualified to hold a Nevada RN license and if selected applicant is subject to a one-time background check.
  • This individual must be a CRNA and will be required to obtain their Nevada CRNA license upon job acceptance.
  • Faculty rank will be dependent upon educational credentials, terminal degree, experience, and scholarly achievement.
  • Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.
