About The Position

The Section of Child Neurology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Epileptologist to join their expanding program at Children’s Hospital Colorado – Colorado Springs. This is a clinically focused position within a dynamic regional referral center, offering a strong emphasis on pediatric epilepsy care, including EMU and EEG interpretation. The role involves participation in general outpatient child neurology, creating a balanced and varied caseload, and provides a welcoming environment for both new fellowship graduates and seasoned epileptologists. The Colorado Springs Neurology program is supported by a multidisciplinary team including epileptologists, child neurologists, advanced practice providers, dedicated nursing, experienced EEG technologists, social work, health navigators, dietitians, and integrated pediatric psychology services.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology (ABPN)
  • Completion of ACGME-accredited fellowship in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology (ABPN)
  • Eligibility for Colorado medical licensure
  • Eligibility for DEA certification
  • Assistant Professor: 0 – 6 years of experience as an attending physician
  • Associate Professor: 7 or more years of experience as an attending physician and academic qualifications to fulfill requirements of associate professor rank
  • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check
