About The Position

The Section of Child Neurology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Epileptologist to join their expanding program at Children’s Hospital Colorado – Colorado Springs. This is a clinically focused position within a dynamic regional referral center, offering a strong emphasis on pediatric epilepsy care, including EMU and EEG interpretation, participation in general outpatient child neurology, and a welcoming environment for both new fellowship graduates and seasoned epileptologists.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology (ABPN)
• Completion of ACGME-accredited fellowship in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology (ABPN)
• Eligibility for Colorado medical licensure
• Eligibility for DEA certification
• Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
• Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience independently practicing Child Neurology or Epilepsy
• Willing to collaborate with the medical team to provide the highest quality of care to patients and their families.
• Ability to diagnose and treat patients with neurological diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient child neurology and pediatric epilepsy management
• EMU coverage and EEG interpretation
• Inpatient neurology consultation
• Weekend Epilepsy and Inpatient call
• Participation of education of medical students, residents, fellows
• Participation in quality improvement programs
