Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor in Periodontology
About The Position
The University of North Carolina invites applications for an open-rank (Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) faculty member who will serve as a Periodontology faculty member in the Department of Periodontology, Endodontics, and Dental Hygiene. The selected candidate will provide didactic and clinical instruction as well as evaluation of pre-doctoral dental students and graduate dental residents in periodontics, implants, and digital dentistry, including diagnosis, treatment planning, non-surgical, and surgical care. This position offers outstanding opportunities for intramural practice, scholarly activities, continuing education and professional service and research. Successful candidates should have the ability to establish a robust intramural practice with the UNC Adams School of Dentistry’s Dental Faculty Practice.
Requirements
- Eligible to obtain a North Carolina conscious sedation license.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage with a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff.
Nice To Haves
- Board-certified or Board-eligible in periodontology or implantology.
- Leadership, administrative, and supervisory experiences.
Responsibilities
- Provide didactic and clinical instruction to pre-doctoral dental students and graduate dental residents in periodontics, implants, and digital dentistry.
