About The Position

The Doe Run Company is seeking an Assistant Operator in producing finished lead and lead alloyed products in order to meet customer specifications, production schedules, and shipment deadlines. This dayshift position will be located at the FPI location in Casa Grande, Arizona. This position is posted as the entry-level role of assistant operator. However, candidates with qualifications and experience exceeding these requirements may be considered for a higher-level operator position with advancement opportunities, with a pay rate ranging from $24.03 to $27.94.

Requirements

No prior experience necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
Upon hire obtain certification to safely operate forklift, cranes and hoists.
Proficient communication skills in order to coordinate with operators and other employees regarding equipment performance and repair needs.
Ability to read measuring tools of tape measure, scales, and a micrometer (to measure product thicknesses according to customer specifications).
Basic literacy skills required to read and understand production orders and record production information.
Ability to exert physical effort; manually lift, and palletize products throughout shift.

Responsibilities

Prepare products for final finish.
Verify product dimensions and thicknesses.
Check for proper pallet inventory and weigh all pallets prior to palletizing finished products.
Safely operate a forklift and crane in order to move product to designated locations.
Complete all required paperwork.
Conduct daily preventative maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
