Requirements

3–5 years of supervisory experience in industrial, recycling, or heavy equipment environments.
High school diploma or GED required.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Valid driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in metal recycling.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems is a plus.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Background in non-ferrous (NF) and ferrous metals, scrap, shredders, supervisory or leadership roles, or operations/team lead/manager positions.

Responsibilities

Support daily facility operations and assist the Manager with compliance, safety, and production goals.
Analyze operational data to resolve quality or production issues.
Lead and develop training programs for operational staff.
Oversee monthly operational budgets and help manage equipment/parts inventory.
Serve as backup to Manager when needed.
Ensure product standards meet steel mill requirements and customer expectations.
Engage with commercial and peddler customers to support business growth.
