About The Position

A Japanese ramen restaurant group operating four locations in Oklahoma is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support multi-unit restaurant operations. With the opening of a new location and continued business expansion, the company is strengthening its management structure for future growth. This position will work closely with the Operations Manager to support store operations, staff training, and operational improvements across multiple locations. The Assistant Operations Manager will support the current Operations Manager in overseeing multiple restaurant locations. This role will be responsible for a wide range of operational support, including staff development, communication with store managers, service quality improvement, and operational efficiency. The selected candidate will visit each store as needed to assess on-site conditions and help ensure stable and consistent restaurant operations across all locations.

Requirements

  • Japanese-English bilingual skills
  • Management experience in the restaurant industry
  • Ability to effectively manage local staff in English
  • Strong interest in staff training and development
  • Ability to understand each store’s situation and take action toward improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing multiple restaurant locations
  • Experience as a Restaurant Manager, General Manager, or Area Manager
  • Experience working at a Japanese restaurant
  • Experience working at a sushi restaurant, izakaya, Japanese restaurant, or ramen restaurant
  • Experience with staff training, shift management, inventory management, and food cost control

Responsibilities

  • Support the Operations Manager with daily and multi-unit operations
  • Monitor the operational status of multiple store locations
  • Communicate and collaborate with store managers at each location
  • Train, coach, and develop restaurant staff
  • Improve service quality and guest experience
  • Support operational improvements and standardization
  • Review food quality, sanitation, and safety standards
  • Identify store-specific issues and propose improvement plans
  • Support staff skill development and performance improvement
  • Assist with store-level operations as needed
  • Report operational updates and store conditions to senior management
  • Perform other duties related to multi-unit restaurant operations
