About The Position

We are looking for a "hat-wearer"—someone who thrives in the heart of production and can seamlessly transition between technical scheduling, financial stewardship, and people management. As a key leader in an established Extrusion Operation, you will help manage the daily flow of custom plastic products for global industries while ensuring business remains efficient and cost-effective.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing or assisting with departmental budgets, including a focus on cost-saving initiatives and resource allocation.
• High-integrity communicator who values a family-business atmosphere where politics are left at the door.
• A natural curiosity for how things work and the ability to become an expert on our specific extrusion processes.
• At least 3+ years in a production environment, specifically with scheduling, MRP systems, or operations support.

Responsibilities

• Take a hands-on approach to managing our Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and production schedules.
• Assist the Operations Manager in preparing annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
• Monitor expenditures in real-time, tracking variances in labor and material costs to ensure operations remain within financial targets.
• Learn the "ins and outs" of our extrusion equipment. Troubleshoot workflow bottlenecks and optimize machine efficiency to reduce waste.
• Assist in managing and coaching production workers.
• Foster a "no-drama" environment, ensuring the team stays motivated and adheres to high safety and quality standards.
• Stay flexible. While a typical day is 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (M-F), manufacturing needs can shift, and you must be willing to adjust your schedule to keep the floor running.
