About The Position

The Assistant Nurse Manager directs and supervises nursing care functions and activities in specialty areas for the purpose of ensuring the competent delivery of quality patient care. He/she implements, educates and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, standards and regulations for personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public. The Assistant Nurse Manager’s primary role is to take charge of nursing personnel; however, they may take patient assignments whenever business or operational needs dictate, in order to deliver high quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum two years as a staff nurse
  • Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Successful completion of CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification course within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
  • Basic Computer Skills

  • previous charge nurse experience preferred
