About The Position

The Assistant Nursing Manager (ANM) coordinates, plans, organizes, implements, and monitors nursing care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients as applicable, in accordance with departmental philosophy and objectives. The ANM facilitates communication and continuity of care for patients, accepting accountability for the daily operations of their respective units when on duty. When delivering patient care, the ANM provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care utilizing the nursing process, assumes responsibility for the overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the needs of the patient and family members, directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, and infection control with the goal of discharging the patient with an optimum level of care provided, utilizes evidence-based practice in accordance with professional standards and adheres to the Florida State Nurse Practice Act, and reviews orders/test results and documents care delivered accurately and timely in the electronic health record.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an RN program
  • 2 year nursing experience in unit of expertise
  • Florida RN License
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
  • Management experience

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes evidence-based practice in accordance with professional standards and adheres to the Florida State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Reviews orders/test results and documents care delivered accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
