About The Position

The Assistant Nurse Manager has accountability for the clinical and administrative leadership of the assigned patient care area under the Nurse Manager. The position assures the delivery of quality patient care and accomplishment of the goals and objectives of the UnityPoint Health Meriter system. The Assistant Nurse Manager assists the Nurse Manager in the control, coordination and evaluation of human, material and fiscal resources in the assigned patient care area. The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for promoting a collaborative environment in which excellence in patient care can be delivered.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred. Candidates without BSN may be considered on a case-by-case basis and should be enrolled in a program with a completion date within 24 months.
3 years of nursing experience.
Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin.
Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

MSN (MSN not required but highly recommend that graduate degree be pursued) - MS in Business or Health related field will be considered if BSN background.
Previous management and labor relations preferred.
Specialty certification in area of practice.
