About The Position

The Assistant Nurse Manager uses the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop plans of care, and implement and evaluate care. This role provides direct and indirect patient care and leads the patient care team toward achieving goals in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy. The Assistant Nurse Manager also leads employees in accomplishing job objectives and inspires confidence and motivation to enhance employee satisfaction. The position is in 4E Cardiac Telemetry, a telemetry med-surg unit caring for a variety of patients with personalized needs and multiple comorbidities. The unit describes its staff as fun-loving and supportive. The role is full time on day shift, with scheduled hours of 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM and 36 hours per week. Qualified candidates may receive $1.00 certification pay and $1.00 BSN pay.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Active RN license in the state of Missouri.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effective leadership abilities.
Valuable time-management skills.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility and ability to work in a multitasking environment.

Nice To Haves

At least five years of clinical experience.
One year of charge nurse experience.
One year of experience in the area of specialization.
