This full-time night shift opportunity is for an Assistant Nurse Manager on the Medical Surgical team at Baptist Nassau. The role involves assisting the Nurse Manager with unit operations, serving as a clinical resource, facilitating patient flow, implementing changes, supporting staff development, and making patient care assignments. Direct patient care may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- 2 Years Hospital Nursing Experience required
- Associate of Science Degree, Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
Responsibilities
- Assists the Nurse Manager with unit/area operations
- Works closely with the direct care staff during their shift to deliver quality patient care
- Is an expert clinical resource
- Facilitates the admission, transfer and discharge flow
- Takes a lead role in implementing changes
- Supports and coaches staff development
- Makes shift to shift patient care assignments
- Takes a direct patient care assignment as needed
