Utilizes the nursing process to provide safe therapeutic care for patients Assessment Planning Implementation Evaluation Utilizes the nursing process to identify and meet educational and discharge needs of the patients. In keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy, the Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) manages quality patient care through the nursing process. Coordinates the plan of care with the health care team. Assumes a visible leadership role in the unit. Responsible for facilitating a work environment that values professional nursing practice, support autonomy, encourages collaborative relationships and promotes communications up and down the corporate chain of command. Responsible for overseeing the completion of unit competency assessments, annual safety reviews, CPR license renewals, and maintaining continuing education as required by hospital policy. In addition to these responsibilities, the ANM may be assigned other duties of an administrative nature.

Requirements

  • One to three (1-3) years experience with one (1) to two (2) years of work experience in Emergency Department
  • Current California Registered Nurse license
  • CA RN Basic Life Support - CPR BLS, within 30 Days
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS, within 30 Days
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support - PALS, within 30 Days
