About The Position
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) directs and supervises nursing care functions and activities in the Emergency Department (ER) to ensure the competent delivery of quality patient care. This role involves implementing, educating, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, standards, and regulations for personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public. While the primary role is to manage nursing personnel, the ANM may take patient assignments when business or operational needs require it to maintain high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.
- Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification.
- Two years as a staff nurse.
- Basic Computer Skills.

Responsibilities
- Reports for scheduled shift on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
- Attends and participates in meetings and is responsible for information communicated at meetings.
- Adheres to Corporate, Regional, hospital and departmental policy and procedure 100% of the time.
- Assists all patients, family members, physicians, visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Follows Infection Control procedures at all times.
- Adheres to environmental care standards.
- Demonstrates the ability to adapt to varied age-specific patient populations.
