About The Position

The new Brighter Days Pediatric Urgent Care will be the area’s first-ever walk-in mental health clinic for young people up to age 18. Services offered will provide immediate safe care outside of the emergency setting and help connect patients and families to resources. This is a dynamic leadership position that will work collaboratively with various interdisciplinary teams across both the inpatient and ambulatory settings. The ANM identifies areas for improvement, develops PI projects, and measures outcomes with clinic staff and program leadership. The ANM is actively involved in unit based and service activities within the Urgent Care setting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, clinical oversight of daily activities, staff scheduling, and new hire orientation. Individual must be highly motivated and willing to provide clinical care to patients based on the identified need. Flexibility and open mindedness for change is a must. Ideal candidate will have excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, and prioritization skills.

Requirements

  • RN licensure in NY
  • BSN required
  • 5 five years of RN experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in practicing specialty by recognized accrediting agency or management within 18 months of eligibility
  • Ambulatory and Psychiatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supports standards of care and providing consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care.
  • Supports activities at the service, nursing practice, and institutional level, and contributes to goal achievement through personal action and the facilitation of others.
  • Participate in community and professional organizations, demonstrating commitment to the promotion of nursing's visibility and future.
  • Provides expert patient care, serves as a resource, consults as requested, and communicates effectively within the unit and service.
  • Participate in the management of human resources, the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies, and the monitoring of patient outcomes.
  • May have responsibilities at the unit, program or service level and may assume an expanded role as assigned by leadership.
