About The Position

Allied Home Office Located in: Melville, New York 11747 Looking to take your Medical Assistant career into a fast-paced, team-focused pediatric urgent care environment where you can truly make an impact? You’ll work alongside pediatric providers in a high-energy urgent care setting designed specifically for children and families. Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• EKG certification/experience required
• Phlebotomy experience required
• Urgent care, emergency medicine, or pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Strong clinical, multitasking, and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with EMR systems preferred (athenaOne experience a plus)
• Compassionate, team-oriented, and patient-focused mindset

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant certification

Responsibilities

• Room and prepare pediatric patients for urgent care visits
• Obtain vitals, medical histories, and perform clinical intake
• Assist providers with urgent care procedures and patient flow
• Perform phlebotomy
• EKGs, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection
• Support medication administration and clinical documentation
• Educate and reassure patients and families during visits
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection control standards
• Collaborate closely with providers, nurses, and front desk staff
• Help ensure an efficient, positive patient experience
