About The Position

Providence St. Vincent Medical Center is seeking a collaborative and passionate Assistant Nurse Manager to support our highly specialized 40-bed Neurovascular Unit. This leadership role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse leader who is committed to fostering a culture of clinical excellence, patient safety, and caregiver engagement while supporting a team of approximately 50 caregivers. Working primarily Monday through Friday on a flexible day-shift schedule, with occasional evening and night-shift coverage to support operational needs, the Assistant Nurse Manager partners closely with the Nurse Manager to drive quality outcomes, enhance the patient experience, and promote a positive, team-oriented work environment. In this role, you will help maintain high standards of clinical practice, support team development and engagement, address staffing and scheduling needs, resolve practice and safety concerns, assist with recruitment and onboarding efforts, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and ancillary departments to ensure exceptional care for our neurovascular patient population. The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment and is passionate about developing caregivers while advancing quality and operational excellence. $8,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a professional Registered Nurse reporting to the unit director/manager who utilizes the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities within assigned shift. The ANM is responsible for supporting the director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit and providing managerial presence for all shifts. The ANM is responsible for managing clinical and non-clinical caregivers and providing input to the director/manager for evaluation purposes related to performance. Duties include but not limited to compliance to professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements; implementing and monitoring compliance to policies, processes and clinical priorities, coaching, mentoring and collaborating to deliver quality health care to patients. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree; graduate from a School of Nursing (BS or BSN).
Oregon Registered Nurse License Upon hire
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association Upon hire

Nice To Haves

2+ years of RN work experience in an acute care environment
Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital
Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience
Leadership experience
Shared Governance experience
