About The Position

This role is responsible for assessing daily patient access needs and ensuring appropriate patient care is provided. The Assistant Nurse Manager will provide oversight involving all aspects of nursing department operations, deliver quality patient care, and ensure the implementation of clinical objectives. They will delegate appropriate duties to clinical staff based on their assessed skills and abilities, maintaining proficiencies related to job functions and processes through ongoing monitoring of daily operations. Collaboration with department leadership is key to ensure processes are up to date and followed. The role also involves participation in ongoing quality initiatives, auditing projects, and the development of plans for improvement, as well as conducting hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluation of staff.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.
  • ICU Experience Required
