As Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) in the Cath Lab, you will provide clinical supervision and unit coordination within this unit. With an emphasis on professional development and success, you will encourage caregivers to enhance their skills and patient experience through improvement initiatives and incentives. This position offers a great way to gain extensive leadership experience while continuing to provide the best support and treatment possible. A caregiver in this role works days from 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Two years of recent clinical nursing experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among unit caregivers and other departments/units.
  • Ensure continuity of patient care information between shifts.
  • Coordinate patient admitting, discharges, transfers and other operational issues.
  • Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
  • Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of caregivers, counsel caregivers on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions and monitor attendance issues.
  • Interview, select and orient new caregivers.
  • Supervise and participate in the daily delivery of patient care.
  • Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage of all shifts.
  • Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes, studies and research initiatives.
  • Assist in orienting new personnel, continuing education and in-service educational programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
