ASSISTANT NDE TECHNICIAN
About The Position
The Assistant Technician will actively assist in radiography and other Nondestructive Testing operations, ensuring a quality and safe work product. This role requires adherence to industrial radiation and general safety procedures set forth by the Company, State, and Federal governing bodies. The Assistant Technician is also responsible for maintaining and promoting safe work practices, meeting project schedules outlined by Operations Management, and fostering a positive attitude on projects. They will perform any other assignments necessary to fulfill Assistant Radiographer responsibilities.
Requirements
- 40 Hour Industrial Radiography Certification
- High School Diploma, GED, and/or advanced education
- Valid State Driver’s License and able to pass a Motor Vehicle History Evaluation
- Able to pass FBI background verification in accordance with Company’s Increased Controls program
- Capable of passing Company Drug/Alcohol, Fit for Duty, and Ergonomic Testing policies/procedures
- Previous experience is not required
Nice To Haves
- State Trainee Card designation
- State Radiographer’s Card and/or IRRSP Card
- ASNT/ACCP Level II Radiography certification, or Documented field hours and classroom education that meets or exceeds SNT-TC-1A certification requirements for methods MT, PT, and UT Certifications
- Proficient in problem solving
- Able to use basic math formulas
- Self-motivating to advance in the NDT profession
Responsibilities
- Actively assist in radiography and other Nondestructive Testing operations to ensure a quality and safe work product is obtained.
- Capable of following industrial radiation and general safety procedures set forth by the Company, State and Federal governing bodies.
- Maintain and control safe work practices made necessary by the Company, State and Federal regulations.
- Effectively meet project schedules outlined by Operations Management.
- Maintain and promote a positive attitude while on projects.
- Any other assignment necessary to meet Assistant Radiographer responsibilities set forth by the Company.
