About The Position

U-Haul Company is seeking an Assistant General Manager to take on more responsibility and advance their career. This role involves frequently overseeing the day-to-day operations of a moving center, working as part of a team, and acquiring valuable skills. U-Haul emphasizes quick hiring and payment, offering immediate start and pay for working interviews, along with a $100 hiring bonus and a $300 cash bonus upon completing the 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program. U-Haul, founded in 1945 by L.S. "Sam" Shoen and Anna Mary Carty Shoen, originated from the post-World War II need for one-way, nationwide do-it-yourself moving equipment, facilitating mobility across the U.S. and Canada and pioneering an industry.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record
Leadership experience in any form
Customer service experience
Ability to work a variety of shifts

Responsibilities

Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence
Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects
Manage and assign your team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care
Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University
