No prior experience is necessary, as new hires will work alongside experienced faculty to learn the Montessori philosophy. Associate teachers play a key role in Montessori classrooms, providing high-quality learning opportunities for infants, toddlers, preschool, and Kindergarten-aged students (birth through 6 years old), working as part of a teaching team to foster a lifelong love of learning.

Requirements

  • Minimum Required: CDA or Associate’s Degree, or some college coursework
  • At least 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development)

Responsibilities

  • Play a supporting role in the classroom under the direction of trained, Montessori teachers and work amongst a team of teachers
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy classroom environment in accordance with Montessori philosophy
  • Provide basic care and active supervision of young children as needed
  • Engage in positive redirection to children and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Communicate with parents as needed on routine matters regarding the health, and care of students
