About The Position

The Assistant Mill Maintenance Planner, located in Nunavut, Canada, will support the planning and coordination of maintenance activities to enhance equipment reliability and uptime. This role involves using SAP and other systems to schedule and track maintenance, reviewing work requests, updating documentation, and preparing job plans. The position also assists in managing spare parts inventory, participating in shutdown planning, and responding to outages. Additionally, the role involves monitoring maintenance metrics, supporting troubleshooting of mill systems and related equipment, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

Two (2) years' experience working in mill maintenance planning or related role.
Familiarity with SAP CMMS and Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

Experience in open-pit and underground mining environment.
Post-secondary education or technical training in engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
Experience with other maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

Support the planning and coordination of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
Use SAP and other systems to schedule and track maintenance activities, applying reliability principles under guidance to meet performance targets.
Assist with reviewing maintenance work requests, updating technical documentation, and preparing job plans and work instructions.
Work with procurement and warehouse teams to help manage inventory levels of spare parts and consumables.
Participate in plant shutdown planning and respond to unplanned outages by supporting troubleshooting efforts.
Monitor and report on maintenance metrics and trends, contributing to team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support the operation and basic troubleshooting of mill systems, power generation, boilers, and related equipment, while following health, safety, and environmental standards.
