About The Position

Sweetwater, the nation's #1 online retailer of pro audio gear and musical equipment, is seeking an experienced Assistant Merchandise Demand Planner to join our growing Merchandising team! In this role, you will focus on supporting Marketplace growth by coordinating the inventory that is sent to FBA Fulfillment Centers and working with the replenishment team to upkeep inventory support for our monthly sales plans. This is a fast paced position that requires a candidate with a high level of attention to detail and organization, strong communication skills, responsibility to self-start and, who fosters a culture of support and service for internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required; strong Excel skills preferred
  • Close attention to detail with a high level of organization
  • Ability to self-start and take ownership of assigned tasks through to completion
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset

Nice To Haves

  • 2–3 years in music instrument retail or equivalent preferred
  • Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, inventory reporting tools, or retail planning platforms is a plus
  • Practical experience with forecasting, including promotional periods, Supply Chain Challenges and product launches
  • Experience with SQL and capability to query databases for pertinent data
  • Experience with Data Visualization reporting (DOMO, Power BI, Looker, Tableau etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Marketplace Item ID replenishment and maintenance for both Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) and Fulfilled by Marketplace (FBM) channels
  • Work through team exception reporting on a weekly basis and partner closely with the Marketplaces team to ensure stock levels are aligned with demand
  • Manage and update Safety Stock, Lead Time, and Minimum Stock levels for specific product categories
  • Work with the Senior Planner and team directly to make adjustments and provide ad-hoc recommendations as needed
  • Maintain exception reporting recommendations for planners and category managers
  • Attend weekly meetings between planning, replenishment, and category management teams.
  • Foster open communication at the vendor and category level to support cohesive inventory strategies.
  • Partner with planners, category buyers, and replenishers to ensure the correct inventory metrics are in place at all times.
