About The Position

Pratt Institute is seeking an Assistant Men's Soccer Coach to report to the Head Men's Soccer Coach. This role will assist in developing, organizing, and administering all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III soccer program. The Assistant Coach must be present at all team events and able to drive the team to each practice and match. The Assistant Coach needs to establish positive relationships with student-athletes and help develop their academic and personal growth. The Assistant Coach will work as part of the coaching staff in designing and executing designated parts of practices, and attend and evaluate local recruiting. The Assistant Coach must promote a commitment to building sportsmanship, a culture of respect and inclusion for student athletes while ensuring his, and assisting with the team’s, compliance with NCAA, conference and institutional policies, rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Soccer Coaching / Playing experience
  • Availability to work nights and weekends for games and early morning practices is a must
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a 12-passenger van
  • Ability to work well in diverse environment
  • AED/CPR/First Aid Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Soccer coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Coach with various aspects of coaching, such as planning and executing practices, video review and opponent scouting, and game planning
  • Drive the team to practices and games.
  • Aid in prospective student-athlete recruitment
  • Follow NCAA Division III rules and regulations and pass annual Coaches Exam
  • Complete campus Title IX and DEI training
  • Support and attend department and campus functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
